How do you know when you have been rated?

I was wondering when in your case you are rated with your level of disability? I am scheduled for my IME on 7/9/10. Just curious if I have been scored and don't know it yet.

ratings are only valid once your condition has reached maximum medical improvement.
it's not required that you be told what was contained in the doctors written report.

Trust me, once your are at MMI you will know. If your state does not have a time limit. You will know, when the dr. tells you that there is nothing else they can do for you. Once that happens, all thats left is the rating unless you are like the unfortunate. For them, all that left is pain management.

Very Close to 6 Years Fighting, 3 IME's and 2 FCE's, 17 Hearings in the 3 Open Cases I have, and I have been at MMI for about 3 Years Now. The Voc. Rehab Report has been Done, and a Hearing is Started on that, I and my Dr. are the Credible Parties, I have won 14 1/2 out of 15 Petitions, and I have been Awarded a Total of $11,000.00 in Penalty Monies by the Judges Based on inappropriate Delay and Lack of Payment on the Ins. Co.'s Part, and I have Yet to be given an IRE!! I'm in Pa. and Involved in a Very Complicated Case, and I Honestly don't think They want an IRE as They won't be Happy with the Results.I was Approved at 43 for SSDI in 3mos/3wks. without an Attorney, and They still continue to Fight! I just wanted You to see that a Lot Depends on how the Individual case is going, and if You have had to Fight at Hearings Yet. But They have to Send any and All Medical Decisions of Their Dr.'s, or any Decisions they Make to Your Attorney if You have One, or You if You Don't as You are allowed Time to Appeal a Decision. So Document, Document, Document, and Read Everything They Send You, or if You do have Counsel They will Advise You of any Changes in Your Case! Best of Luck.

my last dr's visit 5/20/10..my dr told me first thing he said i was at MMI and he had done all he can for me that simple

then you do know.

is there another problem with your understanding?
were/are you on too heavy a medication to remember?
do you also have a cognitive disability?

My first question was when the actual rating occurs...then someone answered with when maximum medical improvement occurs...so I asked when is that?

Pretty simple to me...brand NEW to all this stuff and this forum and trying to learn.

rating occurs anytime after MMI.
MMI, in general, happens whenever physician decides it. they can decide it happened retroactively.
your mmi happened at the time your doctor told you or when he told the carrier.

you're right it can be difficult to communicate this stuff online and not everyone is at the same level of understanding --that's why I asked about possible other problems.
