RE: Whats Next
Hey Joe, I assume you are a former fire fighter?. Is that when you got injured?. I am in California and was CHP. As others have said, you really need an MRI to get an accurate diagnosis of your injury. I have been in the system for 5 years now, and when I first got injured and new I needed an MRI, I had to wait 6 months jumping through hoops. It finally happend when the Doctor they sent me to finally said I needed an MRI. Ask your doctor what it takes for him to ask for one. Secondly, when a WC judge tells you to have something sent to him, or put something on a calender, It's a good Thing. Hang in there Bro, Steve.

RE: Whats Next
Hi firerfighter i am also from NY consider your self very fortunate seems like everything went pretty smooth and fast for you the last few months that is amazing things moved that fast and you are now getting what you deserve. i am now on 9 months with no monies coming in and had my last hearing on 10/03/07 waiting for a decision. I called my w/c case worker today and she said after 20 days the minutes from the hearing have not even been sent to the judge yet. she referred me to social services. That was so nice of her was it not ? In New York you will die before they give you what you deserve and that has been proven time and time again with our 9/11 heroes who have been left on the streets living in card board box's suffering from the injury's they received on that dark day. but billions are being sent to Iraq to help there people out. Good luck to you ...Tony

Tony thanks for youre support. I wanted to tell you since i live in NY my case took about six weeks before I got mine. All cases and judges work loads are different time frames could be more favorable or less though. I called every day to check on the status that along with all the great people here kept my chin up. Its been 14 months now and i still havent got a penny... but should soon. I have 3 kids and know all about struggling. Thank god my wife is holding up shop now. Ill keep you in my prayers. Joe
