MMI/IR
I had my MMI/IR about a week ago, and was wondering what happens next?? Also, has anyone had problems getting treatment after the IR; I see my doctor for pain managment once a month. I had a torn rotator cuff and have had 2 surgeries, plus a neck injury that they say cannot be fixed. Do you feel there should be a certain % i should except from my IR??
Any advice or suggestions will be viewed with an open mind.
I do not have a lot of faith in my case manager.
Thanks!
I live in Texas

RE: MMI/IR
Hi Cricket and Welcome to the Forum. I'm not Familiar with Texas Laws Concerning w/c, but at the Top of the Page is a Section for State Laws and Info. until Someone with More knowledge than Me Comes along. Your Treatment should stay the Same Unless You Receive Correspondence saying Otherwise. Have You Spoken with an Attorney? The First Visit is Usually Free, just be Sure They Specialize in w/c. Wish I could Help More, but I'm Sure there will be Others along with More Info. Have a Great day.

I Wish Everyone in the World would Take just One Minute to Take a Deep Breath and Look at the Wonders around Them. Too Much Time caught Up in the Moment can Cause Us to Miss soo Much that is Good, and given Us Daily! We are just too Busy to See!

RE: MMI/IR
what happens next depends on whether there are any disputes. if not, impairment benefits are calculated and paid.
ratings are not fixed; they are based on your recovery and how much functional loss you are left with.
you can find out more from the texas work comp site
