SSDI/ WORKERS COMP

SSDI/ WORKERS COMP
I have stopped receiving workers comp checks . Have not gotten an answer yet from my attorney as to why. I am in vocational rehab and awaiting treatment which was court ordered in February.
Doctors want an authorization letter from workers comp which I have asked my attorney for and have gotten nothing from Ins Co.
I was awarded SSDI in December but have not received anything due to workers comp checks.
Does anyone know what I do now, do I go to Social Security and report it , I need to pay bills and want to get it started as soon as possible.

RE: SSDI/ WORKERS COMP
Yes, but you need to also bring in your last check stubs from the TTD payments.

I don't know why you were not getting any checks from SSDI though. If WC pays you TTD, you can have SSDI pay you a low sum, till the TTD checks do end.

Thank you from what I got from SS is that my TTD checks are already over the 80% . I was off work for a couple years and if they are averaging my earnings I guess it makes sense. I willl take all the checks I got from January on. I know it is some kind of game they are playing but if we have to go to court I need someting coming in. We just received an appreal my attorney filed which wont be heard until March of next year. Thanks again

You will find, they only want the last check, then they will contact the WC IC to confirm. Then you get a check....

RE: SSDI/ WORKERS COMP
It would also Help You if You Received a Letter from w/c stating Your Benefits are being Stopped. If They didn't send You One, Maybe Your Attorney could write You a Letter as a Back-Up. I was on SSDI when My Attorney Starting taking Their 20% out of My w/c Checks, and I took the Letter from w/c to the SS Office and They Adjusted My Check Quickly, hopefully the same will happen with You. Good Luck.
