Insurance Company Approved
I really thought at last week appointment at the wc doctor's office he was fishing for information for the appeal, but maybe not.......

I received a phone call from this doctor's office telling me a MRI has been approved for the right knee.

And.....physical therapy has been approved for the right knee, right hand, and lumbar spine.

The insurance company said I must return to the rehab facility where I had physical therapy in the past.

I see a big problem here.......the physical therapist who worked with me ended up with a complaint filed against her because of the way she was treating me, and was disciplined by the board. The complaint was filed by another staff member.

This physical therapist is still there and I will likely have her again as a therapist.

Plus this rehab facility has a rating of 3.5 out of 10, lots of problems.

Monday I am to schedule physical therapy.

Hey Bummer...at the very least I would request of the facility that you not have the same therapist. It is a reasonable request (well to me at least) and if there's more than one thera[ist there I don't see how they could deny you after what happened before. Worth a try at least if you can't change facilities.

Bummer, this seems like they are finally getting you some tests and therapy, even though they took thier good ole time. I agree with Monster about the therapist, you may ask your lawyer if he could contact the facility for you and request no contact with the previous therapist if at all possible. I wish you the best.

Vickie

RE: Insurance Company Approved
Thank you Monster & Vickie

It has taken almost 2 years in the courts to get this treatment approved.

The problem with this rehab center is they only have a couple of therapist that do backs, only one for fine motor, and 3 that do knees. So I have little choice of therapist.

The wc doctor knows about the problems I've had with this facility, and so does my attorney.

(((The insurance company said I must return to the rehab facility where I had physical therapy in the past.)))

And your being told this by who? I would think only the doctor's office is telling you this. Have your attorney work on it.

RE: Insurance Company Approved
According to the doctor's staff the insurance company would only approve physical therapy at the previous location.

I sent my attorney an e-mail yesterday.

Ya, I bet the doctor gets a kick back for sending people there then...

Sounds Like You have a lot going on, I Wish You the Very Best. I would Double Check with Your Attorney though, sounds as if You don't Trust this Therapy Office.
