Thought I was smart until I met WC

WC is so confusing, about the time I think I have figured it out, something or someone throws a cruve ball.

I think most of you know I was getting through the system just fine, no lawyer just me and the adjustor, then I had a car wreck, this is when the "Fun" started. WC stopped paying me the difference between what I was making and the new job. The wreck stopped all of that. Went to see WC doctor on April 14th, he put me at MMI and stated that the wreck had really messed me up, and this gave WC an out. He gave me a 2% total body IR. No tests, no FCE, nothing.

April 20 I received a letter from my WC attorney that I had to hire after the wreck, he is asking WC to reopen my medical with one of the doctors, for my anxiety and depression, he wrote this letter after my deposition on April 12th, the one where I was really depressed and had an anxiety attack in the office. What I find funny is what my attorney wrote in the letter. I am quoteing, "The state of Florida requires me sign release form, the next step set out by the state to get the benefits to which you are entitled. The next step after this is that there wil be a mediation conference in about 130 days. " Now if I was in any danger of hurting myself, or anyone else, I find the 130 funny, I guess they think if you are going to off yourself you will before the 130 days. Another dumb law.

In have a mediation for the physical part on May 17th, this took less than a week to set. I have already received my little 2% IR check sent to me, I call the attorney and was told this was mine, and that the settlement would be when they come in.

I think the auto insurance is about ready to settle, and they are including pain and suffering, and other items, this will be a pretty good settlement. None of it gives me back my job, the ability to clean my house and work in the yard, and the one I miss most dancing, I loved to dance and now a slow dance is painful.

The doctors tell me I am angry, and that I suffer from fear that I will be shot at again, but no one can tell me how to get over this. I told one doctor that yes I was Damx mad, someone took the control of my life away from me.

I know this is long but I just had to rant a little as things have not been great this week, Thought I had my parents house that they left me sold, but get this the man who was going to buy it was arrested for rape, now I am still stuck with the payments on the house for the remodel when we were trying to keep my parents at home.

Sweetie if ranting keeps you sane then rant away.
I know exactly how you feel about others being in control of your life, how much you've lost, the anger, especially the anger part. I'd love 10 minutes with a bat and my first WC doctor (bring the lawyer too), who messed up my knee.

I thank all of you for understanding these feelings.

I went outside to get some sun a little bit ago, I sat on the grass and took a short handled toy shovel and just dug a hole, I can't bend, can't sit on a stool, so I just sat on the ground, had to laydown some, but I dug that darn hole, and picked out all of the little rocks and piled them up, at least I felt like I was doing something useful.

When I tried to get up I was sure glad no one was looking, I had to crawl and pull myself up using the side of the house.

Don't know what I am going to do with the hole, might plant a bush, might just go fill it back in after I recover from today. lol
