RE: Milage checks
I send my mileage report to the IC every 2 months. I recieve 49 cents a mile(Louisiana) for my monthly PM visits, my trips to the pharmacy etc. Any mileage for appointments or prescriptions concerning my work related Injury.

I have had times where the IC delayed refunding me. I send another expense report if I have not recieved my reimbursement in a Month.

Call your Case Manager and ask about your mileage report.

I would be pissed at my Attorney then. Personally, I would send my expense report to the Case Manager; I have never used my Attorney as a middle man for this.

Find your Case Managers number and drop him a line on his voice mail after hours. What is he going to do? Spank you? LOL I mean really.

I learned a longggggggg time ago you must help yourself.

Is your case still open? If yes then I would send my Attorney a certified letter if needed to get his attention.

Queenbee, Here in WI (laws may be diff) they have 30 days to send check after they recieve it.. I ran into same problem when I sent my first one in, said they never recieved it, so I faxed them one, said they couldnt read it... So again I mailed them another, suggested ny my NCM and like before no response.. Now mine was for over 3,000 miles they owed for and med reimburstment.. Now I was pissed, so I sent a registered letter with a copy of mileage expenses and others, and warned them I would turn them in to the state comp board, and whet do you know the check was there in 2 weeks........

RE: Milage checks
I went to court in March seeking reimbursement of medical bills I have already paid along with medical mileage.

The judge ruled in my favor on the bills and mileage April 1, of this year.

Here it is the end of April and still no check.

Last week I had a wc doctor's appointment and I have one tomorrow.

So I will send in the medical mileage for those appointment.

My attorney did say he is filing for penalty on the unpaid expenses.

RE: Milage checks
What a mess we are in huh? I guess I was just wondering if my attorney was ignoring a simple request. I assumed since nothing has come about that it is legal for them to not pay for miles or it wasnt important enough for my attorney to handle it. Last time I contacted case manager per a letter I received I got screamed at from my attorney. I will send my new miles in to my attorney along with a written reminder that the last hasnt been collected yet. The money will help me catch up on late bills.

Why not send the mileage report to the Case Manager YOURSELF. Remember, your Attorney works for YOU.
I like my mileage reimbursements and it is part of the WC plan in my state as well as yours.
