anyone know why you would have to get off plavix seven days before myleogram?

PLavix is an anti- clotting drug and a mylogram is a big needle going into the spinal canal. One of the risks of a mylogram is a bleed into the spinal canal. If that should occur it would be bad if the bleeding could not be stopped.
