A busy day!
I see not many are post on the off topics today; it looks like many of us are having busy days.
I thought I would share mine. On Wednesday my sister and I always eat lunch with my Uncle Choke (my dad's twin brother) Today it will be brunch because of my busy schedule. After brunch this morning I have the yearly IEP meeting at my son's school. Then a 2nd meeting at the school to discuss my son's in school suspension. (My son hit another boy after the boy hit a girl) The result, one day in school suspension. At noon I meet with teacher's at another school to discuss the United Way Summer Program for children with disabilities in our community. (I volunteer for this program) At 1:30/2:30 I meet teachers at the Lending Library located at an elementary school in the same town. Then back to my son's school in another town to pick him up from school. Fortunately I this is a lower pain day so I can get everything done. |

RE: A busy day!
you are busy today...I am loading the camper as we have church camp for the kids this weekend.....I have a bad habit of over packing...Bill tilled the garden yesterday and things are looking good there.....Chickens are laying anywhere from 30 to 40 eggs a day depending on if I find all their hiding places.....As most of you know A late unexpected snow storm brought my greenhouse down....We have purchased a "bender" to build a new one this summer....My pain leval is hi today I believe a new storm may be coming......We traded for a used incubator this week so I can set 33 dozen eggs every 3 weeks.....still leaves alot left over.......I love the spring and early summer everything is so new and fresh.....

Jayne
33 dozen, what will you do with all the eggs? I made it thru the day, about 1:00 the pain levels started going up, and I have a good start on a cervical headache. The meeting at the school went well, and my son only had 1 day in school suspension, although, he is grounded for life. |

RE: A busy day!
You always seem to have a lot going on Bummer. You too Jayne!
I was forced to cut back my schedule because swimming everyday was getting me severely fatigued. Then, good for nothing for the next couple of days while recuperating. So now I'm playing with a Mon-Wed-Fri swim schedule, and keeping medical appts. and errands to either Tue or Thur. I try to do a little bit around the house everyday like one day I will do some laundry, the next will be vacuuming. No more super woman, but that's ok. I've learned to accept that. Still learning my limitations and try very hard not to overdo. Today was a good day. The grocery store made dinner; meatloaf, corn bread, potatoe salad and 4-bean salad. Love those deli's! Let Go, and Let God...... |

RE: A busy day!
Chris I do have a habbit of over doing it, and as many I am still learning & testing my limits.
Most of my volunteer work is done by computer & phone. Due to the summer program this time of year I have lots of meetings with school staff. I haven't given up the dream of returning to work one day and hope my volunteer experience is a help in finding a job, even a part time job. |
