a carrier estimated rating is not the same thing as a formal state or court rating.
one is informal and the other is official.
SDI & state disability insurance are the same benefit.
he will get advance payments from the carrier once TTD ends

my opinion is that : serious injuries are not worth it.

I thought you read the guidebook? it explains the difference between temporary and permanent disability benefits. go back and have your husband look at the factsheets on each of them.

I said it was complex. if you haven't read the material available it's a bit too involved to explain on a message board.
I'm not sure there is much more I can offer until you are familiar with the basics.
