Back to the home
Hi All,

Back to the home today. My aunt and oldest sister will be there during the move. I'll be there this afternoon, going to college with my son this morning. Big meeting at 4:00pm at the home. I will include all family in this meeting except my stepmother. She will be sent a letter, someone might call her.

God has spared him, dad keeps saying it was me. His little angel did it, no, God has a reason.

My aunt, God bless her, is quite well off. She's purchased a nursing home policy for her brother, that will pay for extra nurses just for him. Plus his own physical therapist of our choosing AND the big thing. His personal doctor to follow him at the home, he will work with the doctors and staff at the home. Yes it's kind of like stepping on toes but I don't care. My aunt originally wanted him moved to another facility but this will work out better. Since my dad is already familiar with the staff, his room, etc, this will be better than moving him to another home where we'd go through the crying, the adjustment.

God has a reason, atleast for the time that my dad is still with us he will have the best of care. His sister is with him for the first time in 12 years, since their mother died. She's moving here until at least the fall. Her husband will arrive by the end of the week. They've already rented a town home not to far from the home. But I will sleep even better at night, he's well cared for, better than I could of hoped for.

An extra prayer though (God bless you all for the others), how do deal with my step-mother. It will be discussed today during the meeting. When she will be allowed to visit, who will be there, etc. We may just have her only be able to see him in the commons area, with a member of staff there. We're hoping for a mental eval to be ordered on her.

BB

RE: Back to the home
BB your Aunt being there will make a big difference and lessen your load.

Bless her for doing what she is doing for her brother & family.

I agree, God has a reason for keeping your father here.

Your step-mother sounds much like mine.
