Social Security 1099
Does everyone who is getting Social Security Disability get a SS 1099 . for what was paid out to them for tax purposes. I know some people who received a ss 1099 but those people are on regular SS not ss disability. Are the ss disability payments taxable. Does anyone on here know??

RE: Social Security 1099
Hi CF

Yes social security disability is taxable. I have been on disability since September 2006 and have received a 1099 every year.

RE: Social Security 1099
C_F, yes SSDI is taxable if the comdined income from you and your wife is above $36,000.00. For what ever reason, the SSA has not sent out the SS1099 for the Disabled yet. If I don't get one by the end of this week. I am just going to take what I get monthly and multiply by 12.

Take Care

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: Social Security 1099
Still no sign of my son's or my 1099 from SSDI. I thought that they had to be in our hands by the 15th of January ?? Or is that just for people getting W-2's ??
