RE: question about fce results
yes generally; assuming your doctor requested it and set it up.

I just had my FCE 12/9, the examiner sent the results to my doctor who then signed it and faxed it to the IC. I never had to go back to see him after the FCE to go over results. I don't however think this is the norm.

My report was complete about 6 days after the FCE, my doc signed it the next day and faxed it to the IC and my Attorney...my claims adjuster was still claiming she didn't have a copy of the Dr. signed report up until last week when I finally got the copy from my attorney and took it to my HR to fax to her. They will do anything to stall. Just keep on them Smile

Good Luck

Depends on the outcome you're looking for.

Mine said said that I could no longer do my job. This was not what I was hoping for, so for me, it was not in my favor. My employer already told me they would not accommodate the permanent restrictions. They had a copy of the FCE that had not been signed by the doc. So now I sit in limbo, not knowing when I walk in to work, if I'll be walked right back out shortly. It's all up to the IC and when they decide to make it official with my employer. Really makes me want to give it my all LOL.

I have a permanent 5lb lifting restriction from knuckle to overhead on my right arm, occasional basis, 0 lb on frequent and continuous basis. No push/pull over 80 lbs on wheels (pallet jack etc). My job requires lifting of 50 lb frequently and push/pull 100- 300 lbs+

On the other hand, my attorney was pleased with the results I assume because it shows that my shoulder is never going to be close to the same. I'm still pretty new to all of this and still learning from everyone here. Keep asking questions, there are a lot of great people here!

To answer your question... I can't really say why they are stalling, maybe just because they can. My attorney says they wait until the last possible day the law allows on everything.

Have you already been scheduled or had your rating appointment?

RE: question about fce results
It could be that your dr. believes you arleady know what your restrictions are. Not to mention, most people already have a list of thier restictions well before doing a FCE. The purpose of a FCE is to determine ones functional capacity not restrictions. I do not see the connection with the results of a FCE and a pain managment dr. The pain management dr. could care less about a FCE. The PM dr. will be interested with treating your pain.

If you are curious what the results of the FCE are. I suggest you either go to the place where the FCE took place and ask for a copy or call your drs. office and request a copy.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

When I had my second fce, a week later the dr was supposed to go over it with me... Well at that appointment It still was not ready, dr just did a checkup and said see you in a month and when I get the results I will call. Month later he did finnaly get the report and said it was delayed because of the over booked patients the pt had..... Mine was given to me by the order of the ins and the dr agreed to it because he used it as a tool for treatment..
