Medical Update

Thank you for the kind words. I hope all goes well for you and you get some relief. I'm not sure if I told you or not, but last week on Monday I returned to work for the first time since the MVA. I was supposed to be on sedentary duty, desk work, I ended up standing or walking on concrete for 4 of the 5 hours that I worked. My left foot started hurting bad, and continued all week, I was using an ice pack each night and soaked it in Epson salts all weekend, mostly all of the swelling went down but it still hurt to walk on it. I finally went to my ortho doc on Tues. of this week, he looked at the X-rays from the hospital that were done the day of the MVA, and saw the report saying no fractures. He had me get another X-ray and showed it to the bone specialist. I did have a fracture now. He said I had a small or hairline one and the standing and walking with the altered gait caused it to break the rest of the way. I now have this big boot on my foot that goes up to the knee to stabilize the break. I go back for new X-Rays in 2 weeks to make sure it is healing correctly. So I do know what you mean about one thing after another.

I am so sorry you are also going through this. Right now I wonder myself if I don't have more cervical problems going on also. Who knows! Boy, so many of us are in a fine fix right now. I wake up in the morning as I take a deep breath just dreading the day. All I can say is.........damn another day of this crap. So many of us have been through so much, I just don't understand at times how we do it. I know I for one am pretty depressed at this moment as I am so tired of being in the pain I have been in for the past 8 years. Sometimes I just wish it would end. Every day it is the same old crap and it just makes me so depressed. It looks like everytime I get through one thing something else is just waiting to slap me in the face. I guess you could say I am just worn out. Thank you for sharing with me as I appreciate it. Guess I am just outright disgusted and needed to vent. Love ya!
