Visiting a lawyer about my workers comp claim
I did post on here a few months ago. I am a 51 year old female in Arizona. I fell at work this June and broke and dislocated my hip. I had surgery and have been out of work for 4 months now. My doctor said I could go back to work on light duty only but my employer said they have no light duty work for me. I am also slightly concerned I will no longer be able to successfully do my job duties that I once could before the fall. I am now supposed to receive benefits every 30 days from workers comp.

At the advice of just about everyone I talk to, I have an appointment to see a lawyer this week. I am just wondering if a lawyer is actually necessary? I am also worried a lawyer will want me to give them a lot of money up front, which I quite obviously don't have. I guess I am posting here to ask what I may expect from the first lawyer visit? Thanks.
