Computer problems

I like to think I can handle most computer issues.. But for some reason this one kicked my butt.... Kept getting script errors, then computer would freez up ctrl/alt/del usually helped but then internet would just close..... Yesterday fb account for my son was hacked from someone in UT, so I decided to reboot it.. It seemed to be slugish after but after putting in internet explorer 9 its better.. I do like windows 7 but give me back windows 2000, never had any issues except limited....
