Do I need Workers Comp Insurance?
Hello,
My husband owns a fitness business. He is the only employee and he exempts himself from Wrokers Comp yet we still get a bill every year for a premium. Times are tough and this year I am questioning why and if this is needed. We live in Pa.

Unfortunately that appears to be the case. PA makes no numerical exemptions. Some states to exempt small companies up to a ceertain number, but not PA.

Very true. Officers/Owners can almost always get an exemption. Think about the logic, who is going to place a work comp claim on themselves?
