Not Been On Much Latley
Sorry I have not been on that much lately. Last week was a week from hell. I was at my friend and cousins Cindy's house everyday. Her brother Phil, as I told you was dying from cancer. Phil finally went home with the Lord on Friday morning. It was a horrible experience but not one that I have not experienced in my life before Phil.
Then last Wed. Kailey saw the OB-GYN and she told her to pack her bags for the hospital. The week before she was dialated 1 cm but her cervix had not begun to soften. Well, last Wed. when she saw her doc she told her she was dilated 3 cm and her cervix was 50 to 75% softened and the baby was ready. She told Kailey she would most likely see her at the hospital in a couple days. Well, we had Phil's funeral on Sat., it was done quickly as that was the way he wanted it, all in one day and I have also been waiting on pins and needles for the phone call to get to the hospital. Well, that has not happened yet.....lol. Kailey see's her doc again tomorrow so I guess we will see what happens tomorrow. My son was offshore and not scheduled to come in from work until today but they flew him in last Thursday so he would not miss the birth of his child. He has now lost 5 days of work but I think he has vacation days he can use. It is my birthday this Saturday and we have a couples baby show and house warming for them on Saturday from 4-6pm.....lol......not even sure if they will be home or will the baby be home, if she delivers or what the hell is gonna happen. What a mess this is........lol. But, I do have my camera ready and it is in my car. My pain levels have been really high lately. I still have no approval or denial from WC regarding my surgery. I spoke to my lawyer and she is going to file a 1008. She said it looks like that is where we are heading anyway. I told her if she thought that was the best route to go.....then go for it. I am tired of their bullshit and she agreed. So that is where I am with the back surgery situation. I have been reading and trying to play catch up for a bit this morning bit I am going to get off and go lay down for a bit. I did not sleep a wink last night. I also saw my lung doc last week who diagnosed me with sleep apnea. He was a bit concerned and upset but not with me. This increases my risk of a stroke. He knows I have been very limited with my activity level as this back pain was present when I saw him last August when he diagnosed me. I have gained 24 lbs. since he saw me last August and I now need another sleep study because of the weight gain. He said my body is in such turmoil right now. I live in pain everyday, waiting for surgery approval, very sedentary lifestyle, cannot even walk to try to get a bit of excerise and not sleeping at night. Because of all this he states for me not to gain weight I would have to eat like a gastric by pass surgery patient.....a taablespoon at a time and that is just not possible for me. He knows he will have to increase the pressure on my CPAP machine but does not know how much until I do the sleep study. I will doing the sleep study on Sunday evening. I will talk to you wonderful people later. Thanks to everyone that prayed for Phil. This was just a miracle that was impossible and God needed another angel. God Bless everyone and talk care. MJC God always answers prayers...sometimes the answer is no.......You would not want your friend to live in the agony he was in or have his wife have to watch it....
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |
