RE: Tugfest on the Mississippi
Have arrived safe and sound, They were setting up the rides and the Tug area as we came through town. Son is out mowing the yard, getting ready for RNvic and son John's arrival tomarrow. Weather here is great, Am going to go out and gather walnuts, as they are falling from the trees.before the squirrels get them. LOL Son has 4 large walnut trees. Looking out the window at the ol Mississippi, it is calm and moving slow, Just watched a tug and long barge go by. Have to get out my camera.

RE: Tugfest on the Mississippi
My son and RNvic's son went down to the Levee last nite, We were going to go along and play Bingo and decided to go to the river boat instead, No luck, I lost $20.00 and Vic broke even, Then back and had Cobbler and down for the nite @12.00. Vic has Dialysis this afternoon here at a local hospital, but we are going to hit a couple of antique shops first.
We are having fun........ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

RE: Tugfest on the Mississippi
I'm sorry that I could'nt read this thread before today Tuffy. I saw about the Tug Feast on TV, Montel's show. They said about this year, they were replaced the old rope(20 yrs.old) with a new one, and they gave Montel an official piece of it, mounted in a nice glass covered frame.
Tell Vic and her son that I said Hi and enjoy yourselfs. Can't wait for pictures! Love Vickie |
