Texas Workers Comp
Went to Orthopedic Doctor 3 days ago--he did nerve test and found carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel--he put me off work but his note did not say it was work related--when I gave it to my Human Resource people they ask me if I thought it was work related and I said yes so they put me on Work Comp----but today the Insurance Carrier call and told me that my wait time wouldn't begin until I see a Workers comp Doctor(which appt is this Thurs)that it isn't official until the doctor gives me a off work due to work related since Orginal doctor didn't state that orginally--is this right?---can the doctor I see document that I should have been off work after I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel by orginal Doctor so my waiting period will begin from orginal off work slip or I'm I screwed and have to begin time if and when the other Doc states I am off work ?
