RE: What are you doing for the 4th?
Hi all... not a lot happening here. Our son and his family is going to Hersey Park, they left tonight and our daughter and her family that live here are at the shore north of Atlantic City. Del and I are alone but we have alot planned. Of course we are still working on our apartment. You all must think that we moved in to a dump as much as we are working on it...lol. It is actually a nice apartment we are just painting it and making it our own etc. Today Del replaced the sink that was a 6" single sink with a double sink that is 9" deep..yeah...and re did the facet etc. He is sealing every little nick in the walls behind the oven, dishwasher above the fan etc, to keep out varmits etc. I antiqued a cabinet that I am using as a spice rack and it is sitting my my stove top... tomorrow I paint the down stairs bathroom a light lavendar with darker lavendar and blue strips... and am ragging the bottom half. Then I plan to put a fine vine of hydraneous, roses, and butterfies around the top of the strip. Del will then replace my sink in there and all the fixtures... I guess we plan on living here for awhile. You all have a safe and glorious holiday filled with lots of family, friends, and hugs and kisses. Love Red

RE: What are you doing for the 4th?
Thank you Bummer on the congrats on the new grandbaby. When I wrote my post I put she was to soft to deliver still. I meant she was NOT soft enough to deliver. The poor thing has been waiting two weeks now to try to get induced. I think she has had enough. She was crying the other morning she said because her bum hurt and could not get out of bed to go to the bathroom. I think the baby is taking up so much space in her hip area that she has been hurting the past few weeks.
Looks like alot of people are going to hang out with family and friends for the 4th. I think just getting out and being with people will be good for us all. Today the sun is shining and calling for possible showers later but so far it looks beautiful out. I have my fireworks permit in hand and campfire permit so I am all set for this evening. Everyone is coming late afternoon as alot of them are staying overnight. I have a big home and spare rooms for them all the camp out if needed. Tomorrow am we will have a biggggggg breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries and coffee. That is what I enjoy most about when people stay over for parties. Cooking for everyone in the am. : ) Have a happy 4th and please everyone be safe. carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

RE: What are you doing for the 4th?
I hung my flag early this AM and then it started to rain,,,,,,,But my flag is protected as it is under the roof of the front porch. I then did a run to Wally World, I guess everyone else had the same thought. I ran into my pal Gail and her hubby, and my next door neighbor and her hubby. I needed milk and trash bags and spent $45.00 I should have stayed home. ROFL and it is still raining so I guess I will have Taco's instead of trying to cook out. Other than that I have had a quiet 4th, Hope you all are having a pain free and happy 4th.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

RE: What are you doing for the 4th?
well hopefully everyone had a great 4th of july holiday, I am posting this a little late, cause I got up early yesterday and drove to OKC to spend the holiday with my big brother, he had some friends over for a cookout and told me to come hang out with them all.A weird thing happened though, A old friend of mine that I used to party with way back when I was 20 before I got married was there, he is also divorced. He was joking around and telling everyone he was crazy about me way back when, and told them I had ran off and got married, and we didn't see each other for about 30 years, anyways he did not want me to leave, cause we just sat and talked for hours, I came back home yesterday evening and he wants to come down here to take me out for breakfast, but just being recently divorced, I am taking things really slow.
no matter where you're at there you are |

RE: What are you doing for the 4th?
Well, I guess you could say we did do something for the 4th. My sweeties Uncle that lives in Tombstone Arizona was in town and he and his wife came over. We had a shrimp boil with the potatoes, onions, corn and sausage for lunch. We had enough left over for dinner and lunch today. Our visit was very nice just too short. I hope everyone else had a great 4th. Love y'all!
