RE: Necessities of life, be truthful!

I guess I am a combo of alot of you. I also need a comfortable bed as Jayne does. Like a nice soft, warm quilt and 100% cotton sheets.

Hubby has treated me well with diamonds but I really don't dress up anymore to wear them. Like Red, I try to get a wedding band on especially my diamond but sadly my hands are swollen from arthritis and my rings fit but hurt.

Quitting smoking 15 months ago is still hard. I miss them BUT if I had to give up a good cup of tea I would really be sad.

Hubby and I had breakfast in the neighborhood I grew up in this morning. I cried and cried. So as the rest of you, family I can not live without. I thank God for my husband, two daughters who are left and my grandchildren. I missed my dad and sister so very much sitting in the restaurant i could barely breathe. The fond childhood memories came flooding back and I realized that it's just me now. Aunts, cousins, uncles........all gone.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

To those of You that Met My Little Pup Lucy, You All Understand how much She Means to Me!! But the Most Important thing to Me is Love, and the People I have the Honor to Share it with. I'm 46, and My Wife and I have been Together since Sept.8, 1977, Our First Date. We have been Blessed with a Boy and a Girl, and Three Beautiful Grandchildren. My Folks are still Here, but We Lost Ellen's Parents a Couple of Years ago and I Miss them Daily. If I lost Every Earthly Possession Today, I could get through that, but My Family is My Life, and it All Starts with Ellen!Smile

RE: Necessities of life, be truthful!
I would have to agree with others -- my necklace was given to me when driller and I met in person -- of course the chain that came with it broke, but I did have a good chain that I put it on. I have wore it since, only have taken it off for x-rays and mri's.

When we got married he asked if I wanted a ring and I told him no - that I have what I want and that is him. So neither of us exchanged rings. We are very happy with our lives the way they are - and to us each other is the most important thing in our lives.

Of course when he's gone - then I have my puppy he got me last year that follows me everywhere, and 4 cats that seem to think they need my attention as well. So my furry kids are always with me as well. I wish I got to see my kids more often but they are busy with their lives now -- and since they don't live close - well you know how that goes --

The only jewerly I wear is my wedding ring.

What matters most in my life is my family and having them close by. My sisters and I still live in the same community where were born and raised and so do most of our children.

RE: Necessities of life, be truthful!
My plain gold wedding band from Dave means more to me than the engagement ring and anniversary rings with diamonds. I rarely take it off. My Mom's engagement and wedding rings from my Dad are priceless to me even thou you can barely see the diamond. A note my Dad gave my Mom when they were first married is one of my most important possessions, Dad died when I was four so I have very little memory of him. My family is my life so of course it goes without saying I couldn't live without them and would give everything up in a heartbeat for any of them. If my house caught on fire and I had to get my favorite things out I would grab my little dog Beetle Butt and my pictures.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Necessities of life, be truthful!
As to other replies, I thought I would put my 2 cents in. I think my biggest necessity would be my family with out them I dont know what I would do. As to jewerly I never been a big fan and my wife understands when I dont wear my wedding ring. I swell up and cant stand anything on my neck. Cozy times around a fire and talking with family, friends. But as a personal item I would have to say a good cup of mud as soon as I wake up.
