Off to the doctor
Today is my first doctor's appointment since being off the steriods.

I do see an improvement! The nerve pain is not "all the time" as it was before the meds, the nerve pain is still there and does seem to get a little stronger everyday, but I have been able to get some much needed sleep.

Yesterday I pulled my MRI's, CT scans, epidural reports, and discogram reports from the past year. I did this to help answer some questions I have.

The changes in my spine are documented and I will take this info to the doctor and hope to get my questions answered.

RE: Off to the doctor
I saw the doctor (osteopath) this morning and interesting it was.

My doctor does have a sense of humor, course he is mad as hell about not hearing from the ortho on the knee surgery. He made a comment about ortho's thinking they belong up there with God.

He did say what is going on with my spine is progressive and at some point I likely will need disc replacement surgery. He recommends not moving in this direction until it is absolutely necessary.
He did send my latest MRI to my spine surgeon.

RE: Off to the doctor
Bummer...I am glad you had this appointment. When your doctor said that your spine is progressive is he or she suggesting that this was created due to the atypical walk or to an injury or is just part of life in general? Do you know how it is being documented? It is horrible that the IC has allowed your knee injuries to go so long that it has now affected your spine to this point? Your situation and I have to say Still's creates a true rise in emotions about how this could happen in our country. Unfortunately I could type for hours about this and the long term effects of this kind of policy being allowed... you all know what I am saying... best wishes Bummer... love Red

Red

My doctor has linked in writting and sent a letter to my attorney the connection between my back and knee injury.

I have mixed feelings about including my back in wc. My understanding is if my back is approved for treatment by wc and I have a progressive condition then how is the DDD seperated and who pays for what?
