RE: Steroid Injections
I have been reading your thread, and am wondering , did you feel these problems right away durring the procedure....? I have had about 18 injections between l3-l4 l4-l5 l5-s1 and not once did I have a problem... But I will say in every discharge instructions I was to call asap if I had the efeects that you have.... But most times my injection site was very sore and bruised but with in a few days it went away......

RE: Steroid Injections
@ bronco - the headache like I've said have had for a while did get worse since injection. But I did call the dr ab my symptoms and they said if gets worse to call so I guess maybe its just normal. He did say he heard of one other person constantly biting as well I was like ok...

You said 18 shots? I only got one shot in one spot that day. How many did you get a once just one or?

RE: Steroid Injections
Did you stop your pills cold turkey? How long ago? I did with mine a while ago to see how i felt without them not knowing of withdrawals from hydrocode, it literally took me a couple weeks or so to get normal, massive headaches, nausious and so on. It wasn't fun.

@ jayc - I stopped my pain pills ab 2 1/2 weeks ago because I thought thy was my bowel movement problems. But the headaches were there prior to taking them. The dr gave me some more pain meds but I haven't took them bc with all the other issues I don't wanna make it worse!

RE: Steroid Injections
Have the headaches been getting any better? Remember your being subjected to all sorts of new things, on and off meds, new pains, injections, and i know i have tremendous stress not being in control of this situation, all and any of these things added up could be causing the headaches, the only alternative is to have more tests done, but its most likely stress headaches, thats what i was told, which relieved me enough to where they went away, just knowing that sometimes is enough, I think its smart on your part not to compound it with more meds, its their answer to everything, good luck

RE: Steroid Injections
Thanks jayc. That's why I stopped the meds bc I thought that was my problem. I hate taking medicine at all. Normally if I got a headache I would deal with it. But these were a lot worse like a migraine! I just pray everything is better soon.

I have had up to 3 injections at once, all others were spaced appart... The usual is 3 injections spaced apart to get the best effect (relief). I can recall when I first was put on vicodin headaches were severe after 2 to 3 weeks they lightened and soon went away.....

@ bronco. Yeah my headaches were prior to the injection as well as after.

I have to call the dr secretary on Monday and give them an update, I'm not
Sure if then they will tell me to come back in at another date or if he is going to make me wait until my next visit next month?
