What happens if your employer changes workers comp insurance companies while you have a claim? Does the new one take over your claim or am I going to he dropped?

jayne's correct.
workers comp is not health care.
it does not cover you.
it covers the employer and protects them from your injury.
the carrier that collected the employers premium at the time you were injured is on the hook for protecting the employer for as long as you have a claim.
