rt hand contusion
does anyone know if what kind of settlement to ask for on a rt hand crush injury. my doctor wrote MMI at 30% and im just now submitting for PPD award i dont know what he IME WPI is yet but I want to move on with my life bc My employer is closing the doors for 2 years and they have me on a lay off status. they say NWWL is good for 200 weeks i just started it in Jan 2011. I want to do a settlement for a year's worth wages and 50% of the NWWL i came up with $115,000 to 150,000 to close out the whole case with the medical to be closed also and deal with the complications myself and CRPS what do you think

RE: rt hand contusion
if you have crps and you close out medical you are not being very wise....that stuff spreads thru out your whole body.....have you spoken to a CRPS specialist yet?

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

I agree, you should not close out your medical. I'm suprised your attorney would even consider that as an option. I have Cubital Tunnel in both elbows and Carpal Tunnel in both hands/wrists...there is no way my attorney would close out my medical...you never know what the future brings with regard to surgery corrected nerves, or other medical issues like you may be facing.
