Good news! Good news! Good news!
I had therapy on the hand today and the grip strength is up to a 23!
Last time measurments were done it was a 10, so this is a big improvement. I started using Cezispan cream on the hand to reduce the pain before doing my exercises at home. I still have problems holding a pen or pencil, therapy is contacting the doctor for approval in making a splint to wear when writing. To be able to retrain I need use of the hand for writing and doing more then one finger tapping on the computer. |

WTG Bummer I am so happy for you
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: Good news! Good news! Good news!
I did have some burning of the hand/wrist yesterday afternoon but with increasing of the weights in therapy that may be normal.
My goal is to be able to take some college classes in the future. |

RE: Good news! Good news! Good news!
The right knee is also doing much better, it feels stronger, although I still have some giving of the knee.
I am very frustrated with the back, still not making progress and physical therapy may stop on the back this week. The pain stays high, along with the muscle spasms. The S1 & Si joint keeps shifting causing additional problems with the back. The therapist says I have chronic instability of the S1 & Si joints. I return to the wc doctor this week, guess I will see what he has to say about this. |
