Need settlement advice so confused

Hi, If you dont settle medical with them then what other settlement benefit is there for the attorney to take?? If you have received your 104 pay then what settlement $ is the attorney getting if wc is still supplying your medical care for the rest of your life?? can you see how all of this is so confusing??

Wc insurance is wanting to send a adjuster to my home. they did this in the beginning. why are they wanting to now & what should I expect? its a field adjuster & not my reg adjuster. She did mention something about settlement but is she looking at my home to see if Im dirt poor or dumb or recording me & trying trick questions like in the beginning ? Be so glad when this is over.

I wouldn't let an adjust within a mile of my house. Just my opinion.

Adjuster emailed me & said she sent her to talk settlement, dropped the % rating on me at the same time

your settlement is 12 weeks of TTD or if you get for example 100 dollars a week your settlement will be 1200.....I wouldnt sign away your medical without alot of research on your part....

If they would just give you good doctors. they give you the worst so you will take what u can get & run. the thing is I cant get any assistance with that rating, not even sure they will send me to school or anything with that tiny amount of disability. Ive already been told when I refuse surgery they have me against the wall so i better settle on medical now while I can. just keeps coming to my head "what a freaking mess"

not true...you can ask for a second opinion you may have to pay for it yourself but your husbands IC may pay for one....if the 2nd opinion says no surgery yet then it could go up before a judge.....you really need a lawyer to help you settle this ...PM Kate and ask her she knows Fla rules and regs

I have 2 different threads going & missed this one. I Ck my email for new posts & didnt see this one. I had a MRI when the injury 1st happened at the hospital & 3 nero surgeons (2 from wc) said surgery. I had a MRI a few months ago & he said no surgery. He said it didnt look like the same neck & to be sure films where not mixed up. they have since went by that MRI while my pain has gotten worse & pain, weaknes & numbness in my left arm has gotten out of control so surgery left the picture & pain mangement said I had nerve damage & wanted to burn the nerves but told me the risks involved im still convinced I need surgery as much as it hurts to even move my neck but let them go by the last MRI to not have to have surgery by the doctor they sent me to & privately planned to settle & have surgery by dr I want. guess I will hire a attorney. afraid after they spend $ for surgery they will give me nothing to settle, not enough to have surgery anyway.
