have you been rated??..do you have any idea what your case may be worth??..this would help i would think ...call and talk to other attorneys get an idea from several of them to see what they think its worth and make a decision on what to do from there..you really need to explore all your optioons before becoming violent...i mean geting mad isnt really gonna help you at this point..that car accident sounds like it may have ruined any chance of a decent stlement for you and that's just plain sad that something like that can happen

Inpainokla, it doesn't matter as the auto accident is said to have made their injuries much worse then they were, from going to work to now out of work and such.

inpainokla Wrote:oh wow so her work comp case is basically over?? You got that right, it is over. Lawyer called today, I gave him 2 numbers he said he thought they might go with the lower one which was higher than they had first said. The fight is gone, I want to enjoy what time I have left on the earth and WC is not part of my enjoyment. The only thing going in my favor is the auto accident allows for pain and suffering for me and my husband and to say the least this has not been a good time for us. I will keep you updated on how this all settles. N |

RE: Attorney said give up take what they offer
This is sad how things turn out.
With my auto accident the settlement will be less then $10,000.00, this is because I also have a work comp injury. The wc insurance company will only settle with me if I am willing to sign a statement saying the knee replacement is not related to the work injury. This is so the insurance company can receive reimbursement from the state fund for medical already paid. I refuse to sign a statement so my attorney says I may never settle with work comp. |

RE: Attorney said give up take what they offer
He had only the min $10,000 required for property damage, nothing for personal injury, our insurance is picking that up, since we had uninsured person coverage, that will pay when the other person is not covered.
The truck that hit me was in the name of the father of the kid who hit me, the father came to our house trying to get us to sign a release so he can get his drivers license back, since he did not have the needed amount of coverage the state according to him is taking his license for 4 yrs. Don't know if that is true or not but we did not and will not sign anything. Thank you for your concern, Nancy |
