RE: Attempt to work
You Need to File a w/c Claim with Your Employer, if They won't Oblige You, Yo May have to do it Directly with the W/c Bureau in Your State. They should then Guide You on how to get the Correct Care, under the Guidelines of the w/c System. Best of Luck! And as far as Returning to Work, the Dr. has to Release You to be able Return, and will set any Restrictions Necessary.
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |

RE: Attempt to work
Okay so I have a claim my employer tells me to find a dr. So I go to this new Dr. and they treat me like a criminal and are very rude. I had to do a Fed. drug test ......I don't have anything to hide, so fine. but does a rude. inconsiderate warden type nurse have to do it? Then they do exrays on my back, and the Dr. sees no bulging disc....so what is causing the pain in my legs and making my left arm and hand go numb (can he see this on his exray) or in his crystal ball? I relize they are looking at the sores on my face and arms, so to ease their minds I offer up info. about being treated for a parasite by my family Dr. The Dr. looks me straight in the face and says " I don't buy that" uh what? So then he wants to know if I have enough pain meds. to carry me through to next WED.(that's when he wants me to come back if it is not better and look at possibilities of doing physical therapiy) so I say I don't need any more meds. I have enough. He says "are you sure"? I say "yes' I am". At which point I leave upset on the verge of crying and vowing not to go back after all of this rudness. Then it dawns on me.....heck no I will go back they will be nicer to me or my lawyer will be the next one to speak to them. They want me to quit and give up.....I'm in pain and I won't give them the satisfaction. They want a fight? They will see a new patient next WED.

RE: Attempt to work
i don't think it's worth fighting over.
it's more important in the long run to find a doctor you trust. doctors control all the benefits under work comp. |

RE: Attempt to work
Well my employer was the one who contaced WC, I was willing to stick with my family Dr. who would have helped me already ( by sending me for MRI or whatever to find my pain source) but he does not except WC. So now instead of using my Employee Ins. I have to deal with this crud...I am in pain and someone is going to have to do something. I feel I have no choice other than going to my employer and saying I need a new DR. and you or WC or whoever is going to have to find one to send me to. One that is competent and not an a hole.
