Anyone with memory problems? - bagpussinamerica - 12-18-2009 07:55 PM So here I am, twiddling my thumbs, whilst w/c try to decide whether or not they will allow my surgery in Kansas City for Tarlovs. I have now been on w/c for two years. Had one surgery at L5-S1, herniated disk, failed. Discovered Tarlovs and is now accepted they they are workplace injury related. So far so good. I have been on Lyrica for just about a year...and new type of muscle relaxant. Problem is, I keep forgetting things. I have lists of things I want to do, but never find the list...ha ha....For a while I was thinking I was just tired and a bit depressed. But now I am not so sure. A friend of mine is also on Lyrica and she decided to try to come off of it since she felt it was the Lyrica making her feel stupid. Of course, at my age, it could well be just dementia. Though I think not. Could also be that I have nothing really important to fill my days with. I love to get out, but can't drive any longer with the meds. Any thoughts on this? RE: Anyone with memory problems? - Cervical_Fusion - 12-18-2009 08:02 PM I feel I have CRS (can't remember excrement). But i have come to learn that it is meds, and constant pain. RE: Anyone with memory problems? - bagpussinamerica - 12-18-2009 08:07 PM Yeah. The only thing I don't forget is where the pills are!!!! Though i do forget if I have actually taken them or not. My brain used to be a well oiled machine. Maybe I should try WD-40. RE: Anyone with memory problems? - RNvic - 12-18-2009 08:33 PM Glad to know others have problems remembering things. I thought it was just me.I know alot of it is medications, but some of it is not working any more and not having to remember. RE: Anyone with memory problems? - bodybuilder1958 - 12-18-2009 08:40 PM Memory loss is one of the more common side effects of Lyrica. I dye my hair blonde, that way people just assume my dumbness is due to my hair problem. Not a real blonde but I have BLS, Blonde Leg syndrome. (Natural blonde hair on legs and arms) RE: Anyone with memory problems? - RNvic - 12-18-2009 08:45 PM BB- my hair was blonde for years but in the last year have let the gray take over, then people just think I am just a little old lady and go a little easier on me and my lack of memory. RE: Anyone with memory problems? - Tuffy - 12-19-2009 12:14 AM I guess I really don't have any excuses. LOL My problem is old age....... as I am the oldest one here on the forum. ROFL RE: Anyone with memory problems? - jayne - 12-19-2009 12:32 AM I have in my purse a notebook I call my brain....I keep everything in it as I do believe my brain is fried..... RE: Anyone with memory problems? - monster - 12-19-2009 12:37 AM My brain is also fried. To much pain, to much going on in my brain yet not enough in my life. Hell who needs to remember when they don't have anything to do? RE: Anyone with memory problems? - Cervical_Fusion - 12-19-2009 04:06 AM At times i forgret when the last time I took any pain meds. so i just take another, got to be careful not to over medicate.
