RE: alexia's game - red1030 - 07-22-2007 12:40 PM

Hi all, this is Carol.

First, I want to thank all of you for playing for Alexia. I believe that it is good for her to experience the goodness of people and to give something she loves from her heart. Alexia left this morning with her family for a much deserved vacation. She and her family are going to Williamsburg, Bush Gardens, and the Water Park USA. It is only a 7 hour drive from our home. They are going to have so much fun. She ask me to say "thank you for playing" and to tell "Tuffy that her painting is almost dry so when she gets back it will go in the mail." Tuffy I will pm you about all this. I will help her make this happen.

And Spring and KS girl ..you won you won you won...now I have to post a couple of pictures for you to see and you can pick one. Do either of you think you would want something that I have already posted in the pen and ink or the flowers in one stoke. I will take a couple more pictures in a few minutes and down load them for you to choose from here. It is up to you. I painted these pictures with one eye open...hehehehehe....

here goes...and Tuffy I will send you something extra with the painting from Alexia because I know you are giving her painting to your grand daughter. So you can pick as well..

Here are two examples. I am going to paint two more today to give you more to choose from.

I just noticed, I am not a very good photographer hehehehe...the dark red flowers in the post above and then a second one here are poppies and daisys..the other group of flowers in the post above are ...wild roses and morning glory. I have trouble with morning glory. I still have to practice them some more... the new painting in this post is an Iris Garden. It has Iris and wild flowers in it.

KS Girl and Spring..let me know if any of these appeal to you..

Ok here is another painting that ksgirl and spring can choose from. If you should both choose the same picture, no problem, I can paint another one...this one is tulips and daisies...

Woo-Hoo! I won! That really brightened my day. I didn't even get my computer out yesterday, I log on this afternoon and I'm a winner.
First of all thank you Red and Alexia so much for letting us play this game. You are both very talented, kind and caring people.
Second, I would still like to pay for shipping. Just let me know what it will cost and how to send you the money.
Last, I love everything you paint! Out of the last postings I would first pick the tulips and daisey's next would be the red poppies.
If Spring wants one I would love the other!
Thank you both so much. I was having a bad weekend. Now I feel wonderful!

RE: alexia's game - red1030 - 07-23-2007 04:18 AM

Ok...Spring, I should have know this is how it would go. I will choose and you can be surprised. These pictures are painted on thin canvas so they can go into a picture frames easily enough. You never have to apologize for being ill. I knew you were not feeling well right now, so Alexia and I moved on without you. Alexia had a lot of fun. When you were not on line at the time for the numbers, I explained to Alexia that you were not feeling well and not to expect you to be here for that reason. Alexia ask me why you were not feeling well. I explained it to her about RSD as best as I could and she said, "Grandma why does God let all these nice people get sick, like you?" She is always coming up with a question that is hard for me to answer. I answered it the best that I could that she could understand that God is not responsible and yet that bad things do happen to nice people sometimes. Any way it was a long explanation. Did I tell you she got straight A's for the third grade. The teacher wrote on her report card for the end of year reporting, that Alexia is very guiet in class. She is very observant and when she asked a question it is very deep and thought through. And yes this is our ALexia. She is a great kid even if I am the grand mother which always has bragging rights. Any way get well, rest up and then lets visit somemore.

RE: alexia's game - Tuffy - 07-23-2007 12:19 PM

Carol, Thank you for offering to send me something special, You in my book are #1, I have never in my life won anything untill I came to this board, first Seeds from Monster and now a painting from a wonderfull and talented young lady. What an up lifting experiance. I come on here many days hurting and at the end of the day my pain has eased because of all the love and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, You have renewed the spirit that ther are still loving and caring people out there.

PS, I love yellow roses, or any roses for that matter. Wishing you a bright and sun filled day.

RE: alexia's game - red1030 - 07-23-2007 01:25 PM

Tuffy....I will paint something just for you in yellow roses. I love to put yellow on black but that is tricky because black and yellow make green. So I have to be careful. I might try some other back ground for you. I will post it to make sure that you like it before I send it. I have a week before Alexia returns. Also, after you receive your package in the mail you may say that's ok, because they may not be as good as you think. Oh...I could send you another oil if you want. Probably would not cost much more now that I am thinking about it because I am already going to have to obtain a box that will fit the oil you won. Lets see how you like what you get hopefully today. I love painting..so it is not a real treat I guess. I paint all the time again. Besides the computer and little bit of house work I am left with a lot of time and I prefer to be busy. I help my old ADON because she is now the DON of my old long term care facility. On top of this she is going to school full time and she has 4 year old twins. She is a very busy lady, hates school and so I help her a lot with all of that. I love APA and so I do all the corrections and help her. I am terrible with English but I write ok...so it helps her a lot. Other than that, I am bored...so please let me paint for you all. I love it...love Carol
