October in August - Tuffy - 08-27-2009 05:17 PM [attachment=558] Dag Nab-It Lol what a day here in the Midwest ( N Illinois) Water, water every where and not a drop to drink.......It is dark ,damp cold, and been raining sinse 10;00pm yesterday. Will be ok if it dosen't rain for 40 days and 40 nites. I wanted to bake tomarrow for a picnic on Sunday, but will just wait and see if it is cancelled . It is so cold and damp , I may have to kick up the heat. Had to dig out the flannel granny gown. ROFLMAO Reminds me of the weather when we met Buildergirl at Ruby Falls RE: October in August - monster - 08-27-2009 05:23 PM Well you can always send some my way girl! We haven't had any rain sense last year I think. A few little itty bitty drops here and there but not even enough to wet the ground, just enought to mess up all the desert dust on my car! You stay warm and I hope it dries up for you soon. Hugs, monster RE: October in August - Tuffy - 08-27-2009 05:32 PM I'am waiting for the snow. it got down to 49 a couple of nites ago....... Would be happy to send it your way, I am not only getting older, It is so damp here I'am growing mold LOL. RE: October in August - RNvic - 08-27-2009 06:06 PM Tuffy we are in the 80's and no rain here in the south part of the state. They keep telling us we will be getting some of the rain but none yet. Guess it will rain if I go water the garden. RE: October in August - RNvic - 08-28-2009 06:07 AM Rain is here. It didn't start until early this morning and we are to get around 3 inches as the weather is to go down to the 40's at night this week-end. Will be glad to turn the air off. RE: October in August - jayne - 08-28-2009 07:46 AM yes it is more like oct here also..........hope that doesnt mean a long cold winter RE: October in August - Bummer Knees - 08-28-2009 09:05 AM Anyone have the Farmers Almanac handy? RE: October in August - jayne - 08-28-2009 09:09 AM no I didnt get one this year..... RE: October in August - Manley2 - 08-28-2009 09:29 AM I'm worried about what this winter holds for all of us. We had the coolest July on record so who knows. I can't afford to have the snow shoveled this year RE: October in August - Tuffy - 08-28-2009 10:31 AM I shoved off my walk last year, and suffered for it for over a week. Learned a hard lesson. Next time will just wait for it to melt. LOL |
