First and foremost jayne, I am a wife of a man who recently had a surgery during a move no less, (and his was a simple surgery nothing to compare to Bill's) second, I am a nurse. Its not over, but it will lessen with time and wisdom sought interventions. He is going to heal, but this is a big blow to a person's concept of who he or she is and their vulnerability in life. He now knows better than ever before, that life is precious and there are no promises for tomorrow. Give it time and you will both grow from all of this to a fuller understanding of your place in this world. (However, in the process do not forget to be JAYNE AND BILL, the ones we all have come to know and love...always.) Red

The most serous surgery I've had was the knee replacement surgery, I do remember I was afraid I would reinjure myself after the surgery and it took some time and for me to gain confidence that everything would be okay.
