no you are paying for every voice mail...not to mention answering and telling them what is going on may buy you some time, some finace companies have been known to give you a few months to get back on your feet adding the 2 or 3 months to the end of your contract

This is a sorry situation for all. How did things get so crazy? I truely wonder how much is spent fighting legit claim, that end up finally getting paid and closed. It seems that every state is different just to make it just that much harder for the working stiff. Seems if you boil it all down it is the insurnace companies playground. They pit employeer against employee and then scream poverty. I am tempted to give all creditors the phone # of each Ins Co. and let figure out when they can expect payment. Family leave sounds good on the surface, but how many of us can go 3mo without any income. I am starting tomorrow taking advice and asking all parties to submit to me ALL paperwork. Medical alone is over 200 pages as of the begining of the year. If I am not back here soon, I am going backwards and making me a tree, no, forest out of all the useless papers. Any way sorry to b*tch on your dime but this is insane. I wish all of us to stay strong!!!!! Bernie

this may be true for some, but this particular collector has called before and took no pity on me and thus he called again. I know that I should sit and write a letter and explain to my creditors my situation and see who will work with me and who will say that is too bad you still owe me money.

trying to stay strong if for nobody else but you, thanks for getting that out in the open. there does seem to be a lot of wasted time effort and money and putting people deeper in debt and in embarrassing situations all in the name of "I am the WC insurance King and I decide who gets what and who gets nothing" yeah time off from work wonderful, not enough money and in pain can't enjoy it &%$@*
All in the line of duty and for what. Off to Physical Therapy tomorrow. I hope to hear something on the status of my claim "one can hope can't one?" Well as Scarlet O'Hara said in Gone with the Wind: "I can't think about that now, I will think about that tomorrow, afterall; tomorrow is another day'

Well Fiddle Dee Dee oh the agony. I just hate Physical therapy I seem to always have increased pain and spasm a few hours after like now. No word about auth for a MRI I asked at the clinic and they said I would have to ask someone in insurance and billing. Nothing in the mail regarding my claim status, no calls from the insurance adjuster, no calls or communication from the employer, no TTD. what if I do not have any money for gas and cannot get to my appointments it is about to come to that very soon. It is clear cut and dry how my injury occurred why are they dragging it out. My co-worker saw the patient for me after I was hurt and she said she could see how it would have happened. She even documented such, but here I am. I know I am not the only one in this situation, because that is why most of us are on here, but something has to give and soon.

If you work in the medical field, is it possable you have short term, or long term dissability? through insurance at your place of employment?. I was paid STD untill my claim was accepted. Something to look into or think about.

this was a new job in a new state (California) and I was not eligible for Insurance benefits yet and I could not afford to COBRA my previous insurance so I do not think that I would be eligible. This is my welcome to California. But thank you for your reply.

Hey, what about unemployment. Found out if my lawyer would have said something to me sooner, I would have been eligable for unemployment. You need to have worked so many weeks, You are not working at present, so give it a shot. I would apply for food stamps and every other program I could think of. Go for SSDI, & welfare. You will at least feel better by doing things. Let them play the paperwork game. What could it hurt. Stay Strong, Bernie

Not sure about unemployment since I am not able to seek employment, but I will check into things Monday. I was in hopes to have things straightened out by the end of today. But I guess it was not to be. I sent an email to the Information and Assistance Unit at my local DWC office. I tried calling but just got someone who said they would have someone call me back. you know the run around. I am so tired of the run around.

Ok gang, I just received a phone call from the Employer's Work Comp Insurance company handling the claim. He set up a meeting with me for Friday to get a statement about the incident and sign the release of medical information. What the heck here? I already put the statement on the incident report and the DWC1 form and I faxed the signed medical history form and release of medical information to the claims adjuster last week. What is this all about? Is this normal proceedings? It will be 4 weeks tomorrow since the injury with no income no TTD benefits and now this. The rep said that oh 4 weeks is not a long time in work comp cases. Well maybe not to him. Is this more delay tactics and is it legal without a written notice?
