Mileage paid back-WI- - bronco54501 - 09-09-2008 10:31 AM

Question-
I have sent my mileage and appointments in to wc ic 3 times. They say they didnt get it or didnt receive all the fax. Three weeks ago I sent it by certified mail, this way I would know they got it. They are playing games now this is the 4th time I have sent this in since Jan. I live over 200 miles away from where my surgeon is from and between pt and ot and the dr. appointments here I am over 3,000 miles. And besides the meds they have not paid back from jan too. So what should i do? I have lawyer but he dont want to stir things up at this point, cause they are on time with my weekly ttd check. 1st time mailed, 2nd time handed to ncm said she would handle it, 3rd time faxed, now 4th time certified mail and shows that they got it and dated.

Tell the Attorney to front the Mileage papers to them and handle the issue. Stir the pot if it most be done. If you have it coming, why wait I say. But, if they mess with your TTD checks, your Atorney can handle that at a hearing. You weigh it out, and decide which is better for you.

there is little you can do yourself if you don't have your atty in your corner.
you can change attys at any time.
you can file a complaint with the dept of insurance in your state.
you can send a complaint letter to the claims manager, employer, local elected state representatives.

I had problems with my mileage checks also at the beginning of my case. It had alot to do with my adjuster. He would mail it when he felt like it. He would always say he had to wait and see if I really did go to the doctors or not that day. Then sent it on the 29th day. They usually have 30 days to pay it back to you. My adjuster was 3 checks behind once and I told the NCM that I was going to report him to the labor board. She called him and he mailed me all three at once.

If I were you, I would call the labor board and tell them what is going on and report the IC on being late on mileage reimbursements and also medications. That will get the ball rolling. There is a fine for them being late here in NH. My new adjuster sends mine a week after I fax it in now. He has been very good my last few PM appointments. So this is why I also believe it has alot to do with the adjuster.
