I reported the PT facility - capricorn - 09-09-2008 09:18 AM Morning all...Just wanted to drop a note telling all that I reported the PT facility. I don't care if I get anywhere I just felt better going to someone higher up and telling them the shabby unfair treatment I got, not once but three times in their facility. I'm sure I will here back from someone and we will get further into it. I felt I had to do something for others who go throught the same thing. Just not fair. CAP BB......The snow angel's are tough.
RE: I reported the PT facility - jayne - 09-09-2008 09:43 AM way to go Cappy RE: I reported the PT facility - Bad Boy Bad Boy - 09-09-2008 09:44 AM Cap, you done the right thing in my opiniion, only I would not of waited for 3 times, it would of been done on the 1st time. My PT was done at the same place my doctor was at. My doctor was the boss. The doctor respected me, as much as I respected him, when I seen something wrong it was reported. I did have 1 or 2 people removed or fired there also for lack of proper respect and ethic's. RE: I reported the PT facility - capricorn - 09-09-2008 10:58 AM Jayne....Thanks for the support. BB..all of my problems in this facility have been insurance related until now. Before I was injured I was much more outspoken than I am now. I was always kind of the spokes person for everyone else. I have lost that since the injuries. Always think I'm wrong OR because it's WC I can't say anything or it will hurt my case. The injury they put on me by denying my case at times is worse than the physical injuries. My PM Dr. also has his own PT facility BUT i don't like it. There are too many people there at once and there is no one on one care, plus at this point I can only work out in a pool. HAve to tell you that the snow angels are tough. I have been doing about 30 a day and boy do they take effort. Much easier when I was 5 ![]() CAP RE: I reported the PT facility - Bad Boy Bad Boy - 09-09-2008 11:22 AM Cap, just so you know, a Therapist is only allowed to work on so many clients per day. They hire Aides then to help them. But, still the daily allowment still applies. Something to look at. RE: I reported the PT facility - Bummer Knees - 09-09-2008 11:47 AM Cap As you know I also have had problems with my physical therapy facility. I have used this facility on a number of occasions, left, knee, right knee. back (2X), and my neck. One of the staff members that works at this facility (also a friend of mine) told me I was treated the way I was because I had used the facility several times including work comp. RE: I reported the PT facility - capricorn - 09-09-2008 01:27 PM Bummer...I don't get it. Is it because of being a WC claim??? You would think that as long as they get paid a repeat patient would be treated well for coming back to them. Or is it because WC pays them next to nothing. Why would facilities take WC patients knowing they won't get paid well and then be nasty to the patient. That really pisses me off as I'm typing and thinking about this. Well I'm glad I reported them and hope the CEO does something about it so the next WC patient who uses their facilty doesn't go through what I did. I'm getting used to being thrown back and forth. HAve been for 2 1/2 years now. How's the neurontin working? Any side effects? CAP RE: I reported the PT facility - Still in Limbo - 09-09-2008 02:33 PM Cap., I think what You did was a Good Thing, not only for Your Benefit, but for as You've Said, Others that have to Deal with this. Stay on Top of it, and don't Stop until You Speak to Someone that can Make Change! Hat's Off to You!!
RE: I reported the PT facility - Bummer Knees - 09-09-2008 05:11 PM Hi Cap I started the neurotin a few days ago and been very tired and feeling a bit dizzy at times. There is such a stigma that comes with wc and it is the select few that abuse the system that makes it tough for the "true injured workers" please don't take it wrong what I am writing although I believe you understand what I am saying. At my last last therapy session the receptionist came back to the therapy room to talk to the therapist that was working with me, I didn't understand all that was said but did hear the receptionist tell the physical therapist that she had another work comp patient and he is something else. Her comment was not said in a good way. RE: I reported the PT facility - sparkey - 09-09-2008 06:02 PM The way I feel is if they choose to be a therapist, they should understand the pain that people go through even if it is wc or regular health insurance. I did not know they get paid any less because of the patient being a wc patient. Where I went for 7 months, 4 x's a week, PT/OT, I was very close to my therapist and they knew how I felt each day I came there. They had a big heart and I guess I was just lucky or they were devoted to their job. The therapist that treated people bad, should find another career, cause apparently they are not happy with the job they have and single people out because of being on WC. Good for you Cap. Let's hope they get to see the letter you wrote or get talked to about how to treat injured patients at their meeting this week if they have one. |
