Has anyone heard how Cap's husband is doing. His surgery was scheduled for this morning. Prayers are going up for him and her so everything is OK...............

Hi everyone...Sorry I didn't post last night. It ended up being a 14 hour day. I was in the hospital for about 12 hours and then came home a little after 9:00 and slept until 9:30 this morning.
Hubby did great yesterday. Surgeon felt that they accomplished what they set out to. He was in such extreme pain afterwards that they had to change his pain meds and method 3 times to get something to help. I am on my way there now with my youngest daughter and praying all is OK. I called ICU a little while ago to check on his condition and they wanted to know why I wasn't checking the night and morning update. Well his nurse didn't give me the pink slip or tell me that's what I had to do and htis nurse who answered was nasty as all hell. I think I'll raise some hell when I get there. I told her I was concerned and would be there within an hour and just wanted to make sure he was OK and she hung up on me. I willfind out who she is and rip her a new ass when I get there. Sorry ADMIN. Ther eis no reason to be rude to a family member when YOUR nurse screwed up and didn't give me the paperwork. I will update when I get home or early tomorrow morning.

So glad to hear he did so good, and you go ahead and give that person a new you know what and tell the nursing supervisor they have to report it to admin...........and they will figure it out.

Glad to her that things are progressing as expected, Prayers for a speedy recovery. There is no excuse for the way you were treated regardless of what the other nurse forgot. Report this to your hubbys Dr when you talk to him. Dr do have alot of pull, also there must be a patient rep that you can report this nurse to. There is also a CEO of the Hospital and a Nurse that is over all the nurses in the hospital. Check with them.........

I'm glad that yesterday is overwith for you. Prayers will continue for a successfull recovery. I don't blame you for bit**ing out the nurse that was so rude to you,there is never a reason for that behavior toward a family member or for the patient either.
My Dr. happenned to walk in after an altercation with one of my nurses and asked the other nurse what happenned and why I was crying, she point blank told him about the altercation. He must of done something, because the rest of my stay went well.
As others have said, please take care of yourself during this time. Don't get too overwhelmed.
