Central California: 104 was the high today and right now at 11:20 p.m. it is 88 outside. Feels like 120 with this neck brace on. TongueTongue

Chris...wearing a neck brace in hot weather such as you are experiencing must make you feel horribly hot. I hope you have an airconditioner inside or you are absolutely burning up. I always dread the summer. The heat causes me to have attacks...so I do my best to stay inside and out of the sun as much as possible. love Red

cornstarch baby powder will help chris

Thanks for the tips. Red, you cannot survive in this area without air conditioning. Right now, my brace is off and I am sitting as still as possible. I do think my neck is longer! I am allowed to take off the brace 3 hrs. a day this week, and gradually add 3 hrs. per week until I get to only 6 hrs wearing it. Then my surgeon will see me again and decide if I'm done or not. I hope this time goes fast. Still no driving allowed until at least July. Hope you all have fun in PA. My next trip, Lord willing, will be to Oklahoma to pick up a dog in kitty costume. TongueTongue

Take care all!

Hi Chris...yesterday in my town it was 103...I'm still waiting for a breeze (oh sure) anyway, thought I would let you know when I had my surgery, it was in June...the hottest June 2001...what I finally did to cool down the brace hottness was crushed some ice into a baggy and slipped it under my brace...talk about a "ahhhh" moment!
Stay cool!Big Grin

We've been lucky here in central Northern Texas so far this year. Had a few high 90 days here and there, but mostly in the 80's. But that is all coming to a close on Monday when we start hitting mid 90s for the rest of the week. I am not looking forward to it, but knew that it was bound to happen sooner or later. So glad I used some of my income tax incentive check to buy new summer clothes. Looks like it came just in time to keep me from suffering in sweats and jogging outfits. TongueBig Grin

noooooooooooo I was there in july .....while very beautiful when you have to put on a coat in the evening its to damn cold for me

RE: Weather Report - admin - 05-18-2008 10:25 AM

I'm with Sithie. I'm in Steamboat Springs (Colorado) right now and the weather is fantastic. 42 degrees at the moment, but here that can feel warm as long as the wind is down and the sun is up. Should be upper 60's today. Could convince me to move back to these parts.... Smile
