dancers and excercises use to use these over their tights, had no feet but would you to keep legs warm and to keep the calves from cramping up...I need a pair and can't remember their names or where I could find them...if I knew how to knit I would make some, but I don't can anyone help? were they called leggens? I truly don't know

CRABBY...I don't have a clue. The only medical stockings that I know of are called TED hose...they are used to prevent getting a blood clot in the leg..or to keep the circulation moving...love Red

If you have a place where crafter's sell their crafts then you might check there.
Also if you know anyone that knits then a special request can be made to make leg warmers.
I used leg warmers for my disabled daughter's legs to keep her warm.

leg warmers can most likley be found in thrift shops....or in big named dept stores such as JC pennys or kohls or sears or try online

Crabby, You can find the Stockings You are looking for at any Medical Supply Store, under the Name Red has given You. As far as just Leg Warmers that Dancers Use, stop at a Dance Studio, or Call One, and ask where they get theirs! I Hope this Helps, and Have a great Day!!

Teds are like Red explained are used to help prevent blood clots usually after surgery, Leg warmers are used by dancers etc, and are worn over tights, any one that sells dance costumes, ballet supplies will have leg warmers. Then there is support hose, to help with circulation of the legs. Good ones and inexpensive can be found at JCPennys.
