New Child In The Family - Bummer Knees - 10-05-2007 07:48 AM
I am gainning a new child in the family. My 14 yr old niece is moving in this weekend.
My niece lives in a big city and things just are not working out and my husband and I have agreed for her to live under our roof with the condition that she stays with us until she is 18.
My niece has lived with us previous and attended local schools and even has a few friends in the area. Problem is her mother is single and moves a lot and this is a child that needs stability in her life.
She is a really cool kid and fits into our family well.
I go to the attorney today to do the gaurdianship papers.

good luck you are gonna need it...girls can be an real joy or an awesome pain in the neck....I wouldnt trade one day with my girls for a million dollars

Im so glad you are willing to open your home and heart to this child i myself have my two grandkids age 7 and 9 years old it makes for sad days and lots of happy days they give me reason to go even thu the pain im a wildow now for 3 years and I think I needed them as much as they needed me

Bummer, you never cease to amaze me. You are one awesome lady. I believe you have to be an angel on this earth..you do so much and have so much on your plate. I am so happy for this young lady as she is coming to a wonderful home filled with love and so much compassionate... You inspire me... thanks Red

My niece moved in yesterday and going to share a romm with my daughter.
Got the legal paper work done and enrolling her in school Monday.
We are blessed to have her in our home.
