Another Injury - burton0788babe - 09-20-2007 05:03 PM Has anyone here ever been injured more than once? I was injured 4 years ago and I fell on water someone left last month. I couldn't believe it!! I have chronic pain from my last injury which needed surgery. And now I have to go through this all over again. Unbelievable, I have whiplash and I fell so hard my jaw became dislocated. Thank God there was a witness that saw everything. I am very depressed (not to mention sore) I am just sick thinking about having to deal with all the same people again. Of course they are rude and wondering how to get rid of me and quickly. What a mess. RE: Another Injury - capricorn - 09-20-2007 07:43 PM Hi ...i am on my 5th WC injury with the same employer. I'm sure they want rid of me now. When I think of it they have been doing things to me for years I guess in hopes that I owuld leave before I ws ever injured as badly as I am now. Sometimes I think God has even has deserted me, I know that's not true. But at the time it feels like it They are sending me to an IME tomorrow and I have heard horror stories about them. I'm sure I'll be up all night. Thanks for replying, I thought maybe nobody would.
RE: Another Injury - CRABBY - 09-20-2007 10:00 PM I've been injured twice with the same employer...this time they tried to make me quit by makng me miserable, denying my wc claim and refusing medical treatment...I hired an attorney (not a very good one) and I filed with EEOC...which just replied that I have a case and they will be moving forward....Oh yes they terminated my position, notme...I guess they feel they're not liable that way...I felt the same as you...but I found these great bunch of people with alot of courage, advise, sympathy, friendship, they're great....keep smiling someone with some great knowledge will be along to assist you with your plight... RE: Another Injury - las - 09-21-2007 12:13 AM Hey to all, Yes it is hard out here for wc patients but don't dispair. I too have up days and down days but I know there is a plan. The last time I was injured (at a different job) I did what I had to in order to recover and then became a nurse. This time I think I will become a lawyer; a wc lawyer :-). I say all that to mean make the best lemonade that you can out of this lemon that you can and you will look back and feel better about it. Keep the faith las RE: Another Injury - capricorn - 09-21-2007 07:19 AM burton...let us know how you make out at the IME. I had one yesterday. inspite of 5 injuries I have always returned to work /no restrictions. That won't happen this time. Employer has treated me decently BUT my immedicate supervisor and co-workers have treated me like an outcast, liar, thief, cheat. You name it. Lost alot who I thoguht were friends for 20 years. RE: Another Injury - burton0788babe - 09-22-2007 06:55 AM Hey sweet tooth, I have a little dog named Max, what a coincidence. Sometimes that silly little guy is the only thing that gets me through the day. I can't believe how despised I am at work, I feel isolated when I go in and work 1/2 a day. So much for friends at work. It seems like everyone is suspicious of me, I don't know why, I am the same person. Just injured. I can't really talk to anyone because I don't know who is for me and who is not. My kids are grown and I don't see them as much as when they were younger, so Thank God for Max. It may sound corny but he listens to me and is always there. I also at the ripe old age of 53 am taking an online college course, so I can maybe get out of my dept. at work (which is very physically demanding) and be a Medical Transcriptionist. Well, enough about me. Thanks for listening all of you. RE: Another Injury - Bummer Knees - 09-22-2007 08:35 AM burton I have only been injured once and I never want to go through this experience again. When I was injured there was a witness to my accident and I was forced to complete a wc claim. I was so upset about having to file wc that I went to Human Resource and requested not to file a wc claim. HR told me I had to file a wc claim they have to do their job according to the law and process the claim. Now none of my former coworkers will talk to me. |
