mmi - paloggo - 07-13-2012 10:17 PM i'm in Texas.I was given a 10% MMI from my treating doctor. the state appointed, and i'm sure the ins. co. chosen, MMI doctor gave me a 5%. the same appointed doctor saw me in november 2011 with no rating at the time. can i appeal his decision and request a second opinion from a different appointed doctor? they justed stopped my comp pay after his decision and so along with that my attorney as well. any help with this issue? RE: mmi - 1171 - 07-13-2012 10:43 PM sounds like you've had a required medical examination doctor selected by the carrier and approved by the commission after a designated doctor has performed a maximum medical improvement and/or permanent whole body impairment exam. did you have a designated doctor exam? If you can't get information from your atty consider switching. RE: mmi - AQA - 07-14-2012 01:01 AM When you get the report, it will state how long you have to appeal the rating. Yes you can apeall it. |
