RE: MSA question..... - 1171 - 02-14-2012 06:38 PM medicare will not pay for treatment of work comp injuries for those that have taken a work comp settlement that includes $$$ for future medical care. there is an exception for those that allow Medicare to determine how much can be set aside to be used for future treatment. more here https://www.cms.gov/WorkersCompAgencyServices/04_wcsetaside.asp set aside rules do not apply to SS set aside only applies to those who buyout their medical.
