You know better than to think your to old for the surgery .I have never heard of a sugeon performing a sugery if they did not think there would be good results.

I can understand the apprehestion. No one ever wants to deal with the unknown. I personally believe you will do alot better if you go in with a positive attitude and think of the best. You are my prayers.

Sweet tooth I apologize for not posting before now.

Remember all the pre-test you have gone thru, an okay with those test mean medically you are okay for surgery.

I rememeber how scared I was before surgery, this is a very normal reaction.

My surgery was more complicated than the surgeon expected, took longer and was more involved due to the knee being in worse shape than expected. After surgery the surgeon apologized to my husband for not reconizing how bad the knee was.

Even with the complications the surgery went well and so will yours.

Do you like your surgeon and do you trust him? That is so very important.

The physical therapy after surgery is very intense and very painful. I took Loratab 10, 40 minutes before physical therapy and that helped in being able to tolerate physical therapy.

I used a walker for a few week after surgery then started using the cane.

Would you pm me the name and address of the hospital you will be in.

Her first one is Tomorrow so I ask for special prayers for my sister/friend as she is a bit scared....she will be going from the surgery hospital to her small hometown hospital to recover as her Dr feels its best so PT can be done right...Skeeter has his own health problems so he is unable to lift her...
