WC pulled a fast one.... - bronco54501 - 02-14-2011 05:30 PM

I was supposed to get another epidural on wed, until early this morning I got a call from surgeon. Since recently I am at mmi for hip and pelvis, still under restrictions for back and recieving care. The ins company for wc halted any future treatments, for they say my case is under review.. The surgeon is doing these last 2 epidurals as a last attempt before he does the 2 level fusion.. The surgeons nurse asked if I still want the injections knowing what the ins said... I declined this one until I hear from my lawyer, They said they would just charge my private ins, but I have been making sure every one gets the right charges.

I have had an actually good run as to this far with wc, but almost 2 months ago they declined my chiro and 2 weeks ago I had words with my adjuster about mileage reimburstment being past 30 days. And now this, ----- Like I dont see the writing on the wall...............time to gity up lawyer................

The best part is this, I tried to call my ncm when I found out... She called while I was resting and said she couldnt believe what the ins is doing....................GET REAL..

On top of all this today, I'm sicker then a dog........ At least I am 1 step forward of getting out of this....... I just wonder if my checks are going to stop.........?

Thats what the lawyer said but I wont put it past them.... They are to this day brushing the abdomin nerve damage under the rug.. I wont let it happen............nope

I knew things were fishy when she told me the ppd rating for the hip & pelvis... She said as long as I was collecting ttd they cant start paying out on the 48%. Which I knew, but she hinted/suggested I try to go back to work................. I laughed............they wont let me in the door with a 5LB weight restriction.. We have a little bit to fall back on, but wont last forever.................

I think you are plyting this wise. The time has come for you to COMPLETELY sit on the side line. You have played the game as far as you can. Now is the time for the attorney. I am sure you know, once he steps in. All communication between you and the IC has ended. The ball was in there court and they made the play. I don't think you (or any injured worker) can deal with that. Let the attorney handle it.

Just my oppinion.

Take Care

You are completely correct, thier is no more I can do except keep my lawyer up to his word... But I will say this much, my injury dr and the surgeon will have a fit when they find out, I was set up to get 2 more injections and discuss and set the date for the 2 level fussion... But now its in the lawyers and the court to decide. My wife is not taking the recent news well and I have been warning her this day would come and they are that nasty. I just boggled by all this because they were talking about retraining me after getting my back stable....... But heck my mind could run over and over, I think its best just to wait and see what happens with the lawyer and then go crazy.
