Bronco and Buster - bronco54501 - 10-15-2010 04:22 PM Well we tried to leave the 2 home for an hour, Bad Idea.....
RE: Bronco and Buster - admin - 10-15-2010 04:47 PM Reminds me of when I had a black lab puppy. In college. She ate (among other things) dozens of cassette tapes (showing my age), a couch, a motorcycle cover, and my roommates 3 piece interview suit. Great dog, though. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. RE: Bronco and Buster - jayne - 10-15-2010 06:47 PM Bet your wife threw a fit....after she got done laughing.......dogs and kids you gotta love them RE: Bronco and Buster - bronco54501 - 10-15-2010 11:03 PM Admin, its funny that you mentioned couch because we kept finding stuffing and could not figure what it was from.. Here our puppy was pushing his head between the pillow back cushings and ate a hole just where we couldnt see.. We would have never found out but we seen a bone sticking out.....lol. Day one left alone, got into garbage that dad (me) forgot to put outside and atehalf a loaf of bread..... Day two, Even though I took out the garbage they decided to shred the empty plastic bag. They also tipped over a big standing plant, in which bronco ate ( evidence was the mess he puked up after ). Day three, we decide to take them with for I had another drs appointment. Ate the mail above the visors and took a healthy poooop on the back seat.... Now my blood is boiling but am also reminded that he is a puppy. And I know it isnt just the puppy who is involved, buster is a bad influence on bronco..... Day 4, I had a chiro and another drs appointment so I couldnt dare leave them in the house... So I doggy proof the house, nothing laying out and all bedrooms closed, no garbage left out..... Gave them fresh water/food and tv is on and on the animal planet ( buster watches and barks at them ). So off I go got home 3 hours later to find the house just totaled... And this is why I know its not just the puppy, Buster thinks he is a cat and can jump to my wifes shoulders..... ............................Heres what I find, An empty bag of dog food (smaller bag), which explained the 5 doggy bombs on the floor. Large container of coffee along with the 2 different flavors of creamer, the bag of dog treats (now empty) along with the couch cushions off and a 3 inch hole ate through my computer chair..... Now buster is the only one that can jump up high enough to get to where we kept that stuff, but what amazes me is the tiny holes through the coffee/creamers which are broncos teeth size...... I have never been a person to kennel a dog, but these 2 boys have me at no end.. I love them 2 death but somthing has to give before I loose it.. My wife is gone alot durring the day with working and my son is in school, so it leaves just me and with all my drs appoinments they just cant be trusted............Calgon take me away............LOL. RE: Bronco and Buster - chrischris - 10-16-2010 12:06 AM That's funny, but a lot of work. We have to go shopping for a new mattress. My older cat went psycho, had a stroke or something, and completely tore up our mattress, from bottom to top so it wasn't spotted for a few days. I'm with Jayne; kids and pets; gotta love them! RE: Bronco and Buster - AQA - 10-16-2010 01:48 AM Whe I went to work (about five years ago). I was looking for my wallet. I remembered that I left it on the coffee table, but it was not there. So, I asked my wife if she had moved it. She said no and asked where I left it. I told her, and that is when she told me. That the day before she had left a glass of tea on the coffee table and noticed that it was gone. She found it on the back deck and it was empty. That was when we relized that the dog (Chance) was lifting things from the table. Well, I decided to walk the back yard to see if my wallet was there. It didn't take long before I found a credit card with teeth marks on it. I kept looking and found a few more cards. (there were no teeth marks on them. I guess he didn't care for the taste). I kept looking and behind the shed I found my wallet next to 4 chewed up 20 dollar bills. I was furious and my wife saw the look on my face. She grab the dog and put him in a bedroom before I could get in the house. To keep peace in the house (and the dog alive ). She calmed me down and said she would take care of. She took the chewed up bills to her sisters work (she worked at a bank). The bank was able to replace two of them. There was just enough of the other two. Meaning the serial numbers. That the bank sent them to the federal reserve. and they replaced them. That was when I learned not to leave anything on the coffee table. It was about a month lattaer that I found out that he and his sister liked the couch cushion and sheet rock. Thats right. I came home and found the cushion chewed up and three holes had been chewed into the walls. That is when they became outside dogs for about two years. After that, I guess they learned what not to do, or they were just getting to old. They have been inside dogs since. They probably have two mybe three years left. They are the best dogs I have ever had. They are part pitbull and part lab. After everything they did when they were young. They have made up for it ten times.
