Re- PDA - mom2emy - 04-20-2007 01:35 AM Hey folks how is everyone tonight? I have a quick question. If a person is perm and stationary when does the PD advances start? I have not recieved ant PDA since my surgery and then it was TTD not PDA. I have asked my attorney and the response was if you want we can see if it can get started. I thought once you are done with TTD you start PDA? Also shouldn't they have to pay me back TTd and PDA they still owe me from 2003 for TTD. I was told by my attorney it was hard to get this back pay and it would mess up my ssdi if i started it now. So I am a little confused should fight for it or wait till settlement and still maybe not get it? Thanks for any help. mom2emy Also I am in CA RE: Re- PDA - 1171 - 04-20-2007 12:09 PM PD is payable within 14 days of the last payment of TD. You should request it. If you have back TD due you should request it. Put all your requests in writing with a copy to your attorney. Looks like the attorney is making excuses to get out of work. put your location in your profile for future reference. RE: Re- PDA - red1030 - 04-20-2007 12:40 PM Hi mom2emy....I am not sure how your state works and I don't know what state you are from to research this with you. I know here in New Jersey, our lawyer is sueing for the back TTD that was never paid along with medical bills etc. My husband is not on ssdi nor did he apply for it. His attorney asked him to wait until after the hearing. I can't answer about the ssdi disruption. Social Security will take back money when a person is receiving LTD or depending on the LTD contract a person has, it could happen the other way around. It is all about double dipping. Best of luck RE: Re- PDA - mom2emy - 04-20-2007 04:33 PM 1171 Wrote:PD is payable within 14 days of the last payment of TD. You should request it. I put that I am in Calif at the bottom of my e-mail. RE: Re- PDA - red1030 - 04-20-2007 04:35 PM Sorry...I am blind I guess...Thanks for the correction. |
