I was hurt in Feb of 09 the first QME visit was a joke.he never looked at anything just said go to work in the mean was in so much pain no sleep so requested another one And was finally okd by wc. In the meantime my personal doctor put me on permanent disability with pain meds. In June of 09 went the 2nd QME was great and informed me that I will need to see a specialist for further treatment and my injury was work related definately. In the mean time I was denied by wc before their doctor made a decission. So I got a lawyer what a joke my case was reopened so it is open right now. WC has not and keeps putting off the extended treatment I do have a medication card but have fight to get refills and running out of doctors to approve. I have been trying to get my lawyer to apply for maximum amount and continued medical. The lawyer says it will only be 10k if any. But I have definate easy case is what lawyer says. I am trying to get compensated for the 4 months that wc should pay me for. I was forced into early retirement/disability. What can I do to expedite things to get the money that is owed to me my lawyer never answers this question. I would appreciate any input this is from california wc.
you can change lawyers at any time. In most states there will be single fee that is shared between them.

This is true but not always a simple task.
Getting a second Attorney onboard who is willing to "share the fee" can be a dificult task.
Many WC Attorney's believe there fee's are low as it is(20% in Louisiana).

Good Luck

Hi,
it seems to me , that if you were forced into early retirement....you should also be compensated in your settlement for the monies you would have made during the amount of lost working years. Fight for this (or get your lawyer to) . If you can no longer work, and still had 5 yrs until retirement...then they owe you for those 5 yrs of lost wages also!
