I thought I mention what I saw today in the Good Morning America show. There was this injured man, whose benefits were cut off by Hartford, because they spied on him showing, he ate a chip with salsa in a public place. The insurance company hired a doctor, who advised them this man fully recovered and able to work because he can eat a chip.
The man wrote to Good Morning America, they contacted the man's doctors, all three stated, he was fully disabled. GMA also contacted Hartford, they admitted, they made a mistake, paid the man his back benefits, but looks like, Hartford has a record of cutting off injured's benefits without good reason.
I thought I share this as GMA's host, Chris Gomo?(I think that's his name)invited all injured to contact him if someone needed help getting their benefits.

Kat
I think he will be getting a flood of calls. Good for him for helping. A chip OMG.
Perhaps I should contact him!
oh Bummer that would be awesome since yours has gotten so bad because the denied you timely treatment
My employer is withholding my benifits, two hearings have said they need to be paying me but they still are not. I don't think anybody cares!!!! Its for sure none of our lawmakers care
Then you should be one of those to contact him. You could probably google the Good Morning America web site and they will have a part where you can contact them. You should do it!!!! Now I will have to watch Good Morning America. It would be nice if he could do a segment on the trails of the injured worker.
When I was watching this show today, Chris Gomo actually invited all who needed help. He said, just go to their website, click on his name and that's how you contact him. I think, it's worth a try if someone feels they were cheated out of their benefits without good reason. This injured got more than $42,000 in backpay with GMA help.
Manley I also believe you should contact them.

Many IW have it far worse then I do, so I will sit back and encourage other IW to contact Chris Gomo.
Well I sent him a message, lets see if it goes anywhere. I will post any info or if I get a return call or email. I'm betting not but hey if I don't try I will never get any help.
I'm waiting for a hearing about TTD benefits. Mine were stopped in August, doctor released me to work with no restrictions. Fast forward to October, same doctor, put me back on almost all of my restrictions, sitting work, modified work only. I don't expect to see any money for atleast a year, that's their track record, especially with a judge who takes on average of 4 months to make a decision.
